One Young World: Introducing QCT’s 2019 cohort!
In 2019, The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust has been proud to partner with One Young World (OYW) to offer QCT Scholarships to 53 young leaders - one from every Commonwealth country – to attend this year’s OYW Summit in London, UK from 22nd – 25th October. One Young World is the preeminent global forum for young leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to effecting positive change. The annual Summit brings young people together from over 190 countries, empowering them to make lasting connections and develop solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. Delegates participate in four transformative days of speeches, panels, networking and workshops.
This exciting partnership set out to award QCT Scholarships to 53 passionately committed young people who are driving positive change through their work in education, health, sport and the environment. Over 5,000 applications were received and we would like to thank everyone who applied. We would also like to say an enormous thank you to One Young World for making this incredible opportunity possible for young leaders in the QCT network across the Commonwealth.
To those selected for a 2019 QCT Scholarship – a huge congratulations and we are excited to welcome you in London later this month! We can’t wait to meet you and hear more about your work and ideas.
